Julie Gardner, writer, educator, counselor, Amherst Writers & Artists (AWA) Affiliate and Nationally Certified Life-Legacies Facilitator, has led writing workshops and retreats in the Seattle area for almost a decade. After a move to Bainbridge Island in 2018, Julie loves writing and being able to offer writing opportunities for others in a beautiful and inspiring place.

For seven years Julie led a weekly writing group at Mary’s Place, a day center for women who are experiencing or have experienced homelessness. Some of the women’s writings from the group were published in Original Voices: Homeless and Formerly Homeless Women’s Writings.
